Other Details to Note
Though it may not be required, 4x4 is highly recommended in the wintertime. PET FEE: $75/night/pet (minimum $225 per stay) Handicap Accessible Features: - The main level is fully handicap/wheelchair accessible with a wide, flat entrance, wide doors and hallways, and grab bars in the bathrooms for the toilets and showers. - The upper and lower levels DO require stairs to access them, but once there you have the same wide hallways and doors and grab bars in the bathrooms. SOME NOTES ABOUT THE MOUNTAINS: - This is the mountains and cell service may be spotty - There may be some twisty roads - This is in the forests and mountains and you will likely see bugs, mice, or furry critters (including bears!). We do maintain the property with regular pest control, but due to the surroundings, or if doors are left open, or food is left outside the house, this can attract critters. - There are no refunds for storms or power outages. If there is a power outage, there will be no water and potentially no heat. Storms can also make roads impassable, so if a storm is in the forecast during your reservation, come prepared with water and non-perishable food, etc. Fireplace is gas powered and is typically shut off between March/April and October/November. Note: This is the mountains and WiFi and cell phone service can sometimes be spotty and lose service. If the internet does go out, try resetting the router first. We highly recommend you download maps of the area offline prior to arriving. - PLEASE NOTE: Fall/Winter is ladybug season in the Smokies and these little buggers are attracted to heat, meaning your cabin and every other one out there that is warm! They will swarm to the cabin and you'll probably see them alive/dead on windowsills, in vents, etc. Rest assured that your cabin has regular pest control and is professionally cleaned, including bug removal, before and after your stay. However, these bugs come back right away and unfortunately there is nothing that can be done about them until the season passes.
